Jonny has been doing translation since 2004. He started his career as an occasional translator for a well-known book publisher in Indonesia, while maintaining his full-time employment as an IT engineer. He worked with this publisher from 2004 until 2009 and had translated a total of eight printed books on various computer subjects.
He paused doing translation from 2010 to 2019 due to the increasing workloads in his full-time employment as an IT Manager. In 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic, he quitted his office job and started doing translation as a full-time occupation.
With his educational background in Mechanical Engineering and 20 years of employment as Field Engineer and Manager in various multinational and national companies, in the field of oilfield services, consumer goods, textile, construction, plastic and hospitality, Jonny has gained broad knowledge and experiences in many areas and industries which have built, developed, and sharpened his translation skills to cover many areas and subjects.
